If an omniscent, omnipotent, perfect being is the mastermind behind the Bible, then why does the book reflect only the culture, science, history, literature, technology, morals, and values of the era in which it was written? And why are there so many versions of it? And why does it have so many inaccurancies and inconsistencies? And why is it open to so many different interpretations? And why does it include stoning, torture, murder, burning, slavery, homophobia, bigotry, and chauvinism? And why would anyone have to ask so many questions about the Bible if it's supposed to be the go-to source for truth and the ultimate instruction book for morality?

If you are all knowing, why send people to hell? If you know their path, and will only go to hell, why create them in the first place? Because you know that they will just suffer for ever... And willfully doing that does not seem to be the actions of a loving God.
If Person A is a Athiest, and lives just as you instruct, and Person B is a Christian, and lives a life of greed, hate, murder ETC, who goes into heaven?

Just curious; when we help a person out, several times, then when the need arises, they run as fast as they can.
I've been raised that God takes care of vengeance, it's not mine. So what about this? Why does it seem like this happens so often these days. Is there such a thing as Karma? I am so mad!

What is hope. What is Faith. Here's the situation: by all accounts I was unfairly treated(long story). I have lost my family, kids, house and possessions. So I turned to the Lord for help. That was over 10 years ago. Since then I have been blessed in certain ways but not in any earthly ways. Examples are: my company has reduced my salary 25 percent; I've prayed for help but have was denied a job 6 separate times. I've gone to court on 2 occasions. Let me be brief in saying that I was morally right in both occasions. I lost both times. I'm looking for a win but nothing looks good. I've given up hoping. I pray but I have low expectations. Please God, give me a sign and let me know if i am doing the right thing by ending my life. I am 23 years old and in my final year of college, I wasted one year because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life. I do not have any friends and I feel hopeless and trapped in my inner pain and turmoil most of the time. I do not feel like life has any meaning or purpose anymore, and that is a terrible thing to feel. I am seriously considering killing myself later today, and the only good thing i feel is that the only parents who will be hurt by my death is my parents. I want to believe in God. I honestly do. I look at the universe very scientifically and logically. If God exists then he is the most logical being in all of existence. He has to be to be able to create a working universe, a thriving planet and all of the ecosystems and living creatures on it. He would have to have great knowledge of biology, chemistry, and all other sciences both known to man and as yet to be discovered. My question is how can he honestly expect people to believe in him when he doesn't bother to show himself? I don't want an answer that says look around or that I'm not looking hard enough, because no, that isn't true. If I were to be in a relationship with any human then there would have to be concrete physical and emotional responses from that human to show the relationship is there. To say that God doesn't have to do these things and just take my surroundings as evidence is the same as if I were to look at a person that never showed me any love and still decided to believe that she cared. There has to be a solid foundation for there to be belief. I promise you, I am not trying to discount God's existence. I want to believe, however, just saying that the universe exists and that's proof isn't proof. I can argue very well for many cases why many things are the way they are. I want to know God. I want to be able to justify his presence and his existence. Without telling me to believe just because I'm suppose to or that a book tells me to, or saying that I don't want to and am trying to find a reason not to (which I can promise isn't the case) tell me, where is his honest proof of existence and why if he loves us so much and is so concerned with our existence and our belief in him that he doesn't do the logical thing and simply show himself to us. No one in a real relationship would rely on riddles and gestures from the shadows to prove their love or existence, that would be seen as creepy and stalkerish. Why won't he simply show himself, at least to those that truly in their hearts have the desire to know him?

Why god hasn't erase traumatic memories from my past?. I asked him to wipe those memories and someone at church didn't know about it and told me God told her than he will erase those painful memories. the past 8 years my family was split up, then my father died along with an uncle and great grand mother. my older brother had an anurism but survived but was left permanently damaged. After the divorce I began using drugs and was soon a heroin addict. I've made a full recovery almost. Im trying to keep a job because everytime I get a new job I unfortunately have really really bad luck and once again am searching for a job. I have no close friends and I have a emptyness inside me due to that I am depressed and dont have a family really. I dont know what to do. And i feel the depression is winning overwhelmingly. Before Jesus resurrected it held both the saved and the condemned separated by a large gap that could not be passed. After the resurrection all the saved souls came to heaven with Jesus. Those souls are awaiting judgement day when I will make new heavens and a new earth for them to populate. |

I suppose that since I speak to you every day you know my heart and my question. I'm asking it here because in faith I know that the answer I receive I can rely upon. my daughter died at age 19. she suffered a lot physically. She said after a big operation on her spine that there is no God, why will he hurt her so much if he loved her (she was 14 years old then) I am a sinner too, but I am here for guidance. I tried to explain that God works in mysterious ways. That's how I was taught. It broke me into little fragments: what should I've tell her, what could I do? I was a average parent without any answers to her anger. At age 19 when she passed away peacefully, weighing 27kg I was alone , divorced, angry....I married again to a lady who really believes in God. Still married to her and she is good to me, carries me. I am not well and is there anyway I can sacrifice myself for my daughter's soul?

I didn't see anything about it in the faq's (Unless I missed it). I was reading Exodus 31 and it say's "15: For six days you shall do work. On the seventh day, it is the Sabbath, a rest sanctified by the Lord. All who will have done work on this day shall die."
Obviously many people work on Sundays. Myself for most of my life. According to the Bible, this is a sin. Things have changed so much and even the Pope seems to make things ok that weren't in the past.(Although I don't agree with this)
So, my question is, if I pray and follow the Lord everyday, but am forced to work or do chores I cannot get to any other day, is this still considered a sin and will be condemned to death/hell?

GOD - Keeping the Sabbath (Saturday by the way) on the 7th day of the week was an Old Testament Law for the Israelites. It no longer applies as Jesus' death and resurrection eradicated the O.T. laws. In fact, Jesus became the Sabbath upon his resurrection. Now my children live a "Sabbathing" life! So don't worry about working on any or all days of the week. |

Dear God,
I've been stuck at a crossroad for the past 6 years. Most of my friends have gotten married, or have settled down, and I've yet to find that special lady. However, the biggest issue in my life is that I've chosen a profession in I.T. because it comes easily for me, but it no longer makes me happy (after 15 years). I could go back to school and do something else, but it would be expensive, and there's no guarantee of a job when I graduate. Chances are I'll be self-employed, and most likely broke. -But I love the security of a steady paycheck. I've learned that I'll be out of a job in a a few months. So, it's either look for another job, or use my severance and go to school and study music.
I'm really torn down the middle. In fact, it's been a huge question that I haven't been able to answer for the past few years.
Any insight would be helpful.

Dear God
As you may already know I have been raped.
I am still dealing with the pain and the memories but I am trying to overcome this stage of my life through faith.
Now the biggest question I have is.....Should I tell my future husband that I have been raped?

The truth is....I can't really cope with the pain and dirty feeling that I have.
Should I tell my husband that I have been raped? I wanted to give my virginity to my future husband but now my plan is ruined.
Should I state that I am still a virgin? I went to the doctor and he confirmed that my hymen is still intact but what I can't deal is the memories and dirty feeling that I have related to the incident.
I really want to feel like a virgin again.
Should I tell him that I am a virgin? Should I tell others that I am a virgin? Please help me. I can't cope with the dirty feeling and the memories. It is killing me from the inside and is a secret I would like to keep till the day my life ends.

My husband had a vasectomy reversal that failed, thus we have been trying to conceive via a sperm donor. We got pregnant this last month then lost the baby. I was I a serous accident when I was21 years old. Immediately I had a pastor seek me out that I didn't even know that said they had a message from God for me. I was told I would be healed and would walk again. But that it would be a long time. Since then I've had pastors and so called holy men and women seek out people I knew that were at churches out of state or prayer meetings saying they had a message for me. And it is always the same thing that I was going to be healed and would again walk in the land of the living. A few few years ago I called a prayer line for prayer for my family. The lady called called me back a few days later to as what was wrong with me. I said nothing. She was adamant and wouldn't let it go. She continued to grill me till I finally told her that there was nothing wrong with me but that I used a wheelchair. Were apon she kinda laughed and said now she understood. She said God told her he was6going to heal me. The same thing I've heard for35 years. She said my family wouldn't be restored ( it wasnt) and that God had work for6me to do. I asked her what and she just kinda laughed and said you'll see. Its been so long I don't care anymore. So either all the people that have sought me out are liers ( most never knew me or had ever met me ) which leads me to believe all Christians are liers or God is not omnipotent.

What is your plan for me? I have been hurt over and over again and when my ex-fiancee broke the engagement, cheated and moved out, it destroyed me. I'm sorry, I don't know any other wayt to ask this question, but Willy daughter reap what she's sowed and become a sailor, we have wanted this so bad and have prayed for it for many months now. She keeps having setbacks, girlfriend broke.up with her in boot camp, she injured, broke her ankle then injured her knee on the same leg. Now she can't pass the running test and is almost out of time. Through you, I had enough money to keep a roof over my head, & is being offered a job I didn't look for. I'm letting go & having clarity about my failed relationship. ( I cried for months) Today is the first day I haven't cried. And my dog is going to be alright, whew, that was scary!

I am confused about this. When I pray, I pray to God, and give gratitude for giving his only begotten son to die for us on the cross, and to rise again in 3 days, so that our sins may be wiped away. But what I am struggling with is this. Do I pray to God, The Lord and Father of Jesus Christ? Or is the Lord Jesus Christ, since given the powers of God and sits next to God, is he now God that I pray to? I pray The Lords prayer constantly and just do not have clarity here.

I was prescribed Adderall to take and I went to pray and I thought I heard God tell me that I should give it up and that if I would be faithful in not taking it from last June to December that I would receive a huge blessing from the Lord! So I promised that I would not take it until December. It has been one month now and I am here at work doing my best without my medication but I really wish I could take it so I could do better and get this new promotion. I feel like I could possibly be fired if I don't.
Is it alright if I take the medication now?

You have to trust that when you pray and I send my answer through My spirit to yours, that your conscience is telling the correct decision to make.
