Why when i pray to God like for example "Lord Jesus i want to be closer with my friends" .. Few days later, the opposite thing usually happened, like my friends suddenly hate me, etc, if i pray i want to be happy, sometimes bad thing just happen after that, so usually, i stopped praying after that thing, everything happened to me.. What should i do now? Should i continue pray?

Some things don't make too much sense as coming from God when you really think and read about it(for example why Mary?! We are we all so hurting and despair? I don't understand. I believe the body of Christ should not be this way. Read the questions people are sad and lonely and want to give up. No one has the answer for you , we pray and ask God for answers to our life problems but what we seem to forget is Jesus already did it all for us!!!! When are we going to rise and start knowing who we are ? And when are we going to take Authority back and use it in the name of Jesus !!! We are His Children and the Father always protects his own. It is time to use our faith and start casting out demons and healing the sick, it is time to use our faith and go out into this world and win the souls that's Satan has blinded , in Jesus name ! I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord 35 years ago. I know i'm saved but I also know that i've never been full of the holy spirit. Very few christians really understand this emptiness within me. I'm tired of living in my own strength. I try my best but my best never seems to be good enough. Your church is in decline because I and others are just not good enough. I cry out to you day and night. I'm a spiritual mess now without your holy spirit leading me. My wife is fed up with me asking for more of God in my life. I'm so miserable now. Not sure where to start or end, I think I've served my purpose. I pray constantly and feel like it's time to meet my maker. Hello God, You have given me much to think about after speaking with you. I tend to think that is why it occurred to me to search you out. It just seemed reasonable that you may have a way to find you right in plain sight if one figured out where to look. I was wondering if I have a specific purpose or function that you meant me to fulfill or created me to do. If I knew what it was I would get to it right away. As things are now I feel I serve no meaningful purpose. I spend a lot of effort in caring for animals and rescuing and feeding strays and abandoned ones. I've also tried helping people but I've either been taken advantage of badly to my detriment or I've had them turn their backs on me. It makes me feel inadequate and pointless. So I then begin to withdraw from people and the world in general. Am I going about things the wrong way or is it that I have yet to find what purpose I am supposed to serve? Thanks again.

Hi again God, I was reading through your replies and I see that you are on a roll lately. Divorcing your first wife- dare I ask if you did a pre-nup? You really need a like or a thumbs up for stuff like that it's pure gold. Anyways I have a kind of odd question and hopefully I can word this right so it's not gibberish. My wife is surprised the way I've turned out considering the childhood that I had. There was a lot of domestic violence,alcoholism,infidelity and physical and emotional abuse. I received much of the emotional and physical abuse. My earliest memory was as a 3 year old and my grandfather coming home drunk and he actually had a woman with him that he picked up in a bar. I'm sure you know how well that went over with my grandmother. After arguing they left and my grandmother told me that once she was dead I'd be left all alone. That vivid memory has stuck with me for 51 years. I was also told when I was 12 that they weren't actually my parents but my grandparents. They misled me for years. My actual father was a abusive man that I always thought was my uncle. He and my stepmother always held the threat of taking me away from my grandparents to get their way. And to top it off I was a 3rd replacement baby for my grandmother. Her one son died at 18 months old. Then she was given my older brother who also died of the same heart defect at 18 months old. So then I was given to them and my real mother said to them "try not to kill this one". So I'm simply a replacement part essentially. Despite all of this I never became an alcoholic,never smoked or did drugs. I learned to read at a young age and was always intelligent. I saw my family as what NOT to be like. I had no role models growing up except for my heroes on TV. Fortunately they were all the good guys like Superman and such. My wife is amazed that I have an I.Q. near what genius level is. Not to mention my creativity and imagination. This isn't to boast about myself. I'm just wondering if you ever do "experiments" for the lack of a better word by putting someone in situations like that at birth to see if they overcome it all. This is an awkward question to ask you and I'm not sure if it was proper of me to ask it of you. I'm just confused and have been for years. I just thought if anyone knew the answer it would be You. Maybe I just needed to vent this finally. I hope that I haven't offended you ,it wasn't my intents. Thanks and sorry for writing this Stephen King length book here.

Hi again God, I just drooped by to say hi. I like to keep in touch(so many "kids" don't take the time to just say hello to their Father since they are so wrapped up in texting and Facebook and all that nonsense. I've been pretty sad the past couple days and "visiting" with you helps cheer me up. My wife's been in a lot of pain at night from an old back injury and cries from the pain sometimes. It makes me sad that I'm not more helpful in taking her pain away. I've got some pretty nagging chronic health issues too but I'm not going to bug you about healing me and all of that. I'm sure you have your reasons for this,besides I'm in my 50's and I'm staring to0 wear out in several areas. Just dropping by for a visit is a big help. Besides if I asked you for anything it would be for wisdom. Wisdom coming from you would be the best thing anyways,stupid money and material junk is nothing compared to your wisdom anyways. I tend to gravitate to the brainy types anyways and no one beats you in that department. We will be moving soon and hopefully I'll feel better then. We have a nice yard with plenty of squirrels to feed and watch play. Being able to talk to and understand animals would be nice. I think I'd prefer that over stupid wealth any day. I did have a question about Jesus and his return. Assuming Jesus returns in my lifetime would he have time to just sit and talk with me sometimes? I know he'll have his hands full with this mess that your more out of control children have made here but if he has the time I'd like to meet him and maybe just hang out and talk Thanks again.

Hello God, I wanted to tell you ever since finding this site for the first time in my life I am able to focus on and feel that I am able to relate to you in a tangible way. All I needed was a bit of personal interaction to finally be able to focus on you. Before You seemed to be portrayed as a distant angry aloof being by various religious sources. One crazy southern baptist church had "God doesn't want your love,He only wants your FEAR on their sign. Then there are those like my mother in law who is practically salivating at the thought of being able to have a ring side seat where she can look down into hell while eating popcorn just to tell everyone "I told you so! You should have listened to me". I'm sure that you can see how that could be a tad off putting,to the point that it seems they were driving people away from you more than they were helping them to find you. Even if this site is run by just some guy it still has brought you more into focus for me and I feel different inside. It's in a way that I lack the words to describe except for sensing a comforting presence among others that I can't put my finger on. So thank you for this. I was also wondering about continuing to learn more things in the afterlife. I am the curious type that loves to learn new things. And you are THE ultimate teacher after all. I'll have so many things that I'd like to learn about that I hope I won't turn into a nuisance to you. Hi again God, There is something that I was wondering involving creativity. And I though who better to ask than The Ultimate Creator. I do alot of building of different things like props and stuff from science fiction/fantasy tv shows and movies. I grab up cheap junk basically from yard sales thrift stores,dollar stores,you name it. I then cobble it together into stuff that people are amazed by as they say. My wife and friends think that I should sell them,which some of them I have my wife sell. But to me i feels like it's an ability that you built into me and for some reason I don't think about making money with it. A lot of what I create I give to people. Some friends and others strangers that happened to like it. I'll custom build something for a person and when they ask how much they owe me I simply tell them it's theirs for nothing. Is having a special gift or ability such as creativity something that you think should simply be shared just to make others happy? I tend to get that feeling. Did I get it right? I also like to prove the greedy money grubbers wrong when they say "You can't get something for nothing in this world. In the end you will pay for it in one form or another". I for one am weary of the greed and expectation people have to be paid for everything. One more thing if it's possible could you please let our cat Legolas know somehow that we love him and miss him terribly since we euthanized him several weeks ago? I'm beginning to tear up just thinking about him now. I'm not sure about how the afterlife of pets works but I like to think that you look after them. And knowing my luck if I wind up in the right afterlife I'll probably be pointed towards all the cat boxes that Legolas and my other cats have filled since they arrived. I can see that happening now after seeing you have a sense of humor and enjoy a good laugh.

Hello God, I have kind of an issue that your unique perspective and wisdom would be incredibly helpful with. My wife and I have a pet cat named Legolas that is about 12 years old now. I originally found him as an emaciated starving little kitten that ran away from everyone else. Yet one day he walked directly up to me and had a "please help me" look that he gave me. Of course I immediately took him in and nursed him back to health. He has been a very loving cat with quite a unique personality since then. Everyone falls in love with his looks. You must have put some special effort into creating him that day. Anyways he has been sick off and on for this past year. We of course have him cared for at a veterinarian that has grown to know us and our other cats. He always tells us not many people would take as good of care of their pets as we do. Of course there are members of my wife's family always saying how stupid it is spending good money on an animal like he's an old pair of shoes or an inanimate object with no feelings. He is like a member of the family to use,something which they laugh about and think is silly. To me his comfort and life means more than stupid money which seems to be the only thing that matters to others anymore. I know this is just about a cat and hopefully it's not a waste of your time even reading this. But to me he is one of your living creations which in itself makes him important. And he trusted me as a starving kitten to come to for help when no one else could get near him. I like to think that maybe you let him know that it was ok and you said that he could trust me to care for him. Thank you.

An old friend from elementary school just lost his wife of many years about 2 months ago. He was online grieving aloud and crying about his loss which is understandable. He was a devout Christian and always followed the word of the Bible. Someone told him it will get better and not to do anything stupid. My sisters dog is 17 years old. He gets seizures occasionally and is really showing signs of aging ... He is on meds for anxiety and has liver failure and he is not in pain but has vision and hearing loss. He has lived this long because she has taken such good care of him but she is struggling To make a decision to put him down because of his lack if quality in his life. He sleeps mostly. My question is...is it a sin to put an animal down or is it ok because it's more humane not to wait until he is suffering before she is forced to end his life? Recently I brought my boyfriend to Christ. We have been together for almost 7 months. He's also my personal trainer and dietician. At biblestudy this last Wednesday I was cleaning up and I ate a few bites of extra food. We had already discussed that I would trust him with what we ate but I was just so hungry because we had barely eaten anything that day. He got mad and frustrated with me because this isn't the first time where I had trouble keeping my bad eating habits controlled. I feel like he overreact and this time he told me to not get upset if he calls me fat or a pig just cause I couldn't control my urge to eat. Whenever he gets mad at me he really just doesn't care about how he hurts me with his words and actions. I know I dissapointed him but at the same time I feel like he blows things way out of proportion. He becomes really cold and mean and rude and hurt my feelings by putting me down. I really love him and I want to be with him but at the same time I don't know if I can handle being with someone who is so apathetic about what he does and says to me. I don't know if I can handle being with someone who can be so cold and cruel. I know I'm a bit of a sensitive person but he won't show any leniency in his ways. It seems like it's his way or no other way. It seems like there is no forgiveness about the diet and he's just so mean and it feels like he doesn't care about my feelings or how I feel when he says and does certain things. Please Lord help me. I don't know if I should stay or should I leave this relationship. I am praying and fasting and eagerly waiting for your response. Please I'm so lost and unsure what to do. I was raised as a Metodist. I attended church regularly until i was 19 and went to college. I'm now 22 and have a full time job at a bank. I live a very black and white life. Either it is or it isnt. Everything can be proved. I've toyed with the idea that Go and heaven exists for a few years. The truth is.. I want to believe in God. When i attend church with my family, i often tear up during the sermon. How can i be sure that my beliefs are real? the sheer fact that i tear up during sermons makes me believe God is with me. Recently I've felt like You have been training me - putting me through a bunch of trials and testing my limits. Both physically and mentally. Whether it be building my patience through the degradation of my professional career or getting my strength up by giving me the urge to work out more often - it seems like things are building up to something. I've been delving deeper into the Word and trying to pray more often; I try to ask for signs when I do pray so I can be re-assured of what I've been feeling but nothing has really 'solidified' the message that I think I'm receiving. GOD - Yeah don't ask for "signs" for starters. I don't do "signs" anymore. So expecting them for confirmations will always lead to disappointment and spiritual anxiety. GOD - Your premise is flawed ergo so is you conclusion. I am not all knowing. I did not create Lucifer knowing he would fall. I created him with the capacity to fall, because Lucifer and many other angels (Not all), were given free will. So while I am not "All Knowing", I do know all possibilities and conditions that can spur from the actions and decisions of those I've created. I had plastic surgery last summer. I was hesitant to have the surgery because I was concerned that I was going against God because the bible tells us to not alter our body. I don't know how valid my concern is in todays age when even pastors tattoo their body and we pierce our ears. Despite my concern, I made the decision and went ahead and had the surgery and other treatments such as botox. I am very happy with the results and don't regret it but about a week after my surgery, my favorite cat was hit by a car and although he survived, it cost me over $2000 to have his leg amputated to save his life. Since then I have wondered if this was Gods punishment to me for defying his laws and if this rule to not alter our body still exists since my treatments are still ongoing Thank you very much for any answer you could provide.

Hi Lord, In John 14:26 it states that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter that You send to teach us all things when we receive Jesus as our Savior. I know this to be wholeheartedly true because as I've grown in my faith, I've become more and more dependent on the still small voice of Your Spirit. Along with being our Helper and Comforter, Your Spirit also bears fruit and gifts. My question is about the gifts mentioned in 1 Corinthianso 12:8-10. Everyone that I've tried to talk to about this gives me the same answer. Gifts of the Spirit were only readily available to the apostles and disciples to spread the message of Jesus Christ. Healing, discerning spirits, speaking in tongues are not available today. That's a ltitle hard for me to belive. You are that You are. Same God. Same Spirit. Unchanging. I think lack of faith is the key to understanding this all. It has to be something we are doing wrong to keep the Spirit from gifting us. Our lack of faith limits how much You work in our lives. It's been a long, hard road but I'm beginning to see this more clearly. I can't live without Jesus and I can't live without faith. And while I'm here, I don't want to miss out on anything You have to offer including the gifts of Your Spirit. I will take any piece of Heaven You have to offer unail I'm home. Which leads to my question: Are all the gifts still available today, and if so, how do I receive the gift I'm to have? Please explain. Thank you.

Father. There was time when I didn't believe in You. I was always scared of all challenges in my life and afraid to make changes. Final exams in school, first job, next job... I didn't know it then, but now I know that it all went alright because You were looking after me. You didn't let me fall. I'm again making a big change in my life. I'm quitting safe and well paid job to get chance in something that might lead up to a great success but I might as well end up jobless and maybe even homeless. I can't sleep at night thinking about it, but I'm keep repeating to myself, that You were with me throughout all these years even though I wasn't calling for your help. I desperately do call for Your help now. Please help me get through this, be with me as You always were with me. If this is Your Will, get me through this, if no, show me Your way for me. God, I would like to ask you.. is my grandpa doing well in heaven? you see, he was my hero and when I was six you called on him to enter your kingdom of heaven, I have never recovered from his passing and for a little while I questioned my faith but I realized that you only have room for the good and that's why my grandpa is in heaven with you, I have regained my faith in you my lord and I've always felt your presence with me everyday and everywhere I go so I thank you my savior for that, but my question is.. is my grandpa doing well?

Hello God, I was wondering if I am just being stupid and being brushed off by others when I feel sad about the passing of a poor animal. I've tried caring for them and helping when I could but I feel bad as if I've somehow failed. This doesn't just go for pets-which I've had people tell me that I am a fool wasting money on caring for them.I should let them die and get a new one like replacing shoes or something. They seem to place the importance of money above a living creature that can feel pain and fear. One instance that has stayed with me for years now was finding a chipmunk lying on his back in the pouring down rain. He was still breathing and alive so I brought him inside and dried him off. Then I wrapped him in a warm blanket and held him stroking his head until he passed a short time later. I didn't want him to die a cold,wet death alone and afraid. You may think me foolish but I cried for that poor little chipmunk and to this day it still saddens me,just as seeing any animal dead from being run over by a careless,or sometimes a sadistic person that hit them intentionally. I know that animals are supposedly here to do with as humans see fit. I think that definition has been stretched waaay to far to include,exploiting,torture and neglect. About 9 yrs ago my wife-then girlfriend and I were sitting on the shore of a lake when a mother duck and her ducklings swam up to us out of nowhere. The ducklings all clustered around me and my feet. Some even waddled up my leg onto my lap. My wife was amazed since she had never seen wild animals simply be so fearless and trusting of a person. It didn't lat,some stupid teens showed up being loud and throwing rocks,scaring them away. So I don't know if I am just being overly sensitive and emotional or are animals really aware of the feelings and motives of humans. I'll understand if this is a stupid question that ou skip over. I know that I've sinned a lot, and i kept asking for forgiveness because of it.. I always try my best to avoid sinning again. Since I've committed a mortal sin, it's adultery, (well in some cases it defines that). And I want to be forgiven again. I keep getting tempted by doing it.. and i feel so bad. May i know what to do? I have made sandwiches for homeless people. Fed people in a soup kitchen. I have helped build swings for playgrounds. I have also placed flags on the graves of veterans. Participated in several different charities yet because I haven't accepted Jesus into my heart you have equated these deeds to menstrual rags. However if I were a christian I would be called a good person. Even though I live my life according to the philosophy that my life is not for my benefit and I would much rather spend my time doing something that might actually help people you still think I am a bad person. If your idea of a good person is anyone who has accepted Christ as their savior regardless of what they have done to help or harm the world then clearly you don't know what your talking about because anyone else with any sense at all would disagree with you.

GOD - I say, there are none good but Me. That means everybody else, no exceptions. Nothing wrong with trying to be a good person, which of course is greatly determined by your particular social and geographical surroundings. Some peoples "good" are others "Bad". So it's very subjective what "being a good person" means. The point is, no body is getting into heaven for being good. Why? Because perfection is the mark. Only perfect gets in, and that can only be attained by the born again physiological changes made to you when Jesus is a living member of your body. Why? Because I see Jesus as perfect, and judge him innocent and worthy of heaven. This is also why all those with Jesus living in them will be raptured before I spill my wrath out on earth. Jesus only deserved being hit with that one time. Which was when he was on the cross and laid every sin and sickness on him. He (in any form) will escape the next time.

if you are omniscient then you must have known that if you put the tree of knowledge in the garden of Eden that Adam and Eve would eat it's fruit. There are many things you could have done to prevent this. The easiest of which could have been never creating the tree at all. But even if the tree had to be created you could have placed the fruit to high for Adam and Eve to eat it. You could have destroyed the snake in the garden before it even spoke to Adam and Eve. You could have made the fruit smell and taste terrible. Or the very least you could have done is moved the tree to literally anywhere else in the world yet you didn't do any of these things. Humans are flawed and make mistakes. However you, God a perfect being in your own words, is incapable of looking over these mistakes because otherwise you would be imperfect. From this I can infer that you not only wanted Adam and Eve to eat the fruit but you also wanted sin to come into the world and for us to suffer. Adam and Eve may have eaten the apple and disobeyed your orders but if you had done it the right way then they never would have known of the apples existence in the first place. So don't place the blame on us when in reality this is all your fault. My question is Why did you do it?
